How to match a spare part to your dirt bike or quad
Similar model names can hide different parts. Before ordering from our spare parts collection, compare the part you have with the listing. A matching engine size or model name on its own does not guarantee fit.
Start with the machine
Write down the exact model, year or version shown on the frame or manual, plus the old part's markings. Photograph the part in place and from several angles after it has been safely removed. Record connector shape, pin count and polarity for electrical parts; tyre and wheel sizes for rolling parts; and mounting-hole spacing, diameter and thread for mechanical parts.
Match the full specification
- Electric parts: match voltage, connector, polarity and the manufacturer's compatibility information. A matching plug is not proof that a charger or controller is safe to use.
- Wheels and tyres: compare the size stamped on the old tyre, axle diameter, hub and brake layout, not just outside diameter.
- Brakes and controls: compare caliper or lever orientation and mount spacing. Safety-critical parts should be installed and checked by someone competent.
- Engine parts: check the engine designation and mounting pattern, not just the advertised cc.
If you cannot confirm the match
Do not guess. Send us the model, a clear photo of the old part and the measurements via our contact page. We can check the listed specification with you, but your own machine may have had replacement parts fitted previously.
Parts are for collection in Virginia, County Cavan. See the collection page and our first-ride checks before getting back on the machine.
